JOURNAL PROMPT
Think back on the most impactful experiences of your lifetime- write about them in detail in regards to what happened, what you lost/gained, what was learned, felt and understood.
VISUALIZATION
Relax your body and mind completely with progressive muscle relaxation in a room you feel comfortable in. Deepen your breath, close your eyes and begin to imagine the most beautiful peaceful scene. Describe what you see around you, where you are sitting, standing or lying down. Give the space texture, what is the air quality like? What can you touch in the environment, notice the sensations of being in this space. Begin to listen, what sounds are around you as you deepen into a relaxed state of consciousness. How gentle and soft are the sounds that is the backdrop for your total peace and relief? Start to notice the taste in your mouth- is it noticable? Are your taste buds enjoying the comfort of a delicious, warm meal or cool drink? Breathe in the air around you, what fragrances are delighting you right now? Breathe it in deeper, and relax your body and mind fully into the space your mind has created. Enjoy for as long as you would like and are able to do so. When you're ready, begin to wiggle the toes, fingers, gently lift your arms up for a big, delicious yawn as you flutter your eyes open. Notice. Notice the sensations of how you feel right now. Give it language- light, warm, sleepy, peaceful, blissed out... Return to this space when you are overwhelmed.
